🔴 On August 22, 2025, it became known that OCU activists were preparing a raider seizure of the church.

OCU representatives announced a meeting to “transfer” the UOC Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos into their structure, followed by a “service” in the shrine.

Local community groups circulated a call to come to an illegal meeting on August 23, 2025 and vote on behalf of the religious community for the “transfer” of the Orthodox parish to the OCU.

The raiders planned to bring in activists from different villages.

Parishioners of the UOC Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos published a video in which they reported the preparation of a raider seizure of their church and asked for support.

🔴 On August 23, 2025, a group of OCU activists held an illegal meeting. The perpetrators gathered right by the church fence.

Parishioners recorded the activists’ actions and sang prayers. The faithful and the UOC priest stood at the gates of their church.

Several OCU clerics were also present and, apparently, were directing the process of falsifying documents.

🔴 On October 4, 2025, a group of OCU raiders seized the church.

OCU representatives decided not to wait for a court decision regarding the unlawful re-registration of the church.

The activists came to the shrine with falsified documents and cut off the locks on the church doors.

According to reports from the scene, the seizure was directed by Valerii Ostapchuk, who is named in the falsified documents as the “church director.”

Police officers on the premises behaved openly rudely toward Orthodox clergy and refused to allow UOC parishioners into their church.

In full view of the police, the raiders broke the church doors, while the officers simply watched.
